Comedy/Horror spoof
Directed By: Alfred Sole
Written By: Richard Whitley
Starring: Tom Smothers, Debralee Scott, Eileen Brennan
Paul Rubens, Judge Reinhold

Tom Smothers plays Sergent Reginald Cooper who rides a horse, and along with deputy Johnson(Paul Rubens) try to track down a killer who is stalking girls at a cheerleader camp.

The movie even though made in the 80’s, makes fun of horror flicks, especially the ‘Friday the 13th’ movies. It is funny, even though it is a little ridiculous. This stars a huge cast of actors(big back then) and some big now!

Originally this was titled Thursday the 12th, but have no idea why they changed the name. The only thing I can think of is, so maybe people wouldn’t get it confused with the other horror spoof, “Saturday the 14th”.

Now, this can’t be found on video-it’s out of print, and the last time they played this on TV, was when Rhonda Sheer hosted USA Up All Night. The only possibly of people seeing this, if MGM releases it on DVD(which I hope they do!).

I did enjoy this somewhat, not really for humor factor. I mean if you want good horror spoof, rent “Scary Movie”. I enjoyed this more for the stupidity factor and seeing these actors in this movie.

Well, my closing thoughts are, that if you enjoy stupid horror spoofs with B and A rated actors-then give this movie a chance.
